Note that the green things you see moving here are actually egg sacs. The parasite’s main body [looks like this](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0a/Leucochloridium_paradoxum_sporocyst_from_Heckert_1889_plate1_fig1.png) and is buried deeper into the snail’s body; the snail will survive having its eyestalks bitten off and will grow them back, complete with a new parasite egg sac.
This is its life now.
