Have y’all never read mythology lol. Loki lets himself get impregnated by a horse and gives birth to the child, just off the top of my head. Gamefreak didn’t do anything new, humans tell these stories all the time across all cultures. In fact im pretty sure a lot of the leaked myths are just rehashes of existing Japanese myths with the yokai replaced. these aren’t even recent enough to be using them as a reason for new gens to suck, the Internet just wants to dunk on Nintendo because they’re such sticklers for image.
