      Thick bleach is thickened using surfactants that can gel when poorly mixed/added. A cocoamine oxide for example is a good bleach thickener and soap.

      You could just have a badly mixed bottle, and it will still work.

    2. from what I can find is it happens when bleach was overexposed to cold temperatures. May have been during shipping or retail storage

      is it the no splash kind? put the lid back on and give it a good shake (supporting the lid) and it should mix back in.

      They usually don’t bother removing the salt left over from the manufacturing process. Salt usually doesn’t cause any problems because it just stays dissolved. Maybe this came from a batch with extra salt and it made it into the bottle.

      It’s expired, I wouldn’t drink it.

      Sidenote: if something inedible expires, does that make it edible? 🤔

      Ive never seen bleach congeal like coconut oil. Thats wierd. Maybe its defective or has additional additives.
