This is what I’d order if I wanted to eat an old hobo’s boot.

Overcooked… Well-done doesn’t mean dried out & char-burnt.

Its leather now, we can probably do something with that right?

I’ll admit, I prefer a well-done steak… HOWEVER, anything **THAT** tough is going to the dogs when I get home.
… and before y’all start, the sight of “undercooked meat” freaks me out and I’m not trying to go vegan.

Whoever eats their steak this way is a sociopath and doesn’t have a palate.
The benefit of eating a steak medium rare or pink in general, especially a high quality one, is that you can taste the actual flavor of the meat rather than just seasoning whereas when you overcook a steak of that caliber, you’re destroying that flavor.
I used to be one of those types when I was younger who always ate his steak well done until my uncle, who was a metaphorical grilling master, gave me a blind taste test and asked me to describe what I was tasting.
The difference was literally night and day.

I used to hate steak, until I had my first one cooked medium instead of well done. Made a world of difference.
