One of the members of the envoy was hugged by king Philip II which surprised him greatly, he later said that not even his parents ever hugged him while the most powerful man in the world did.

The leader was knighted as well. Which if he was a samurai, means there was a samurai who was also a knight. Which I think is pretty neat.
