They didn’t blame Austro Hungary because it died, why they didn’t blame Austro Hungary is because the Kaiser existed

    2. Can’t get blamed… my brother in christ, they took away 72% of Hungarian and 60% of Austrian land because they got blamed!!

    3. … They were blamed though. The treaties of Trianon (with Hungary) and St-Germain (with Austria) were incomparably harsher than Versailles, and neither successor state had the opportunity to negotiate terms like Germany did.

    4. Sure, but Woodrow Wilson might force you to get rid of your military, leading to three counties invading you and taking most of your territory and instigating a communist takeover

    5. “Joke’s on you I wanted to blame Germany, because I hate them more”

      – Poincarè, probably

Austria-Hungary collapsed, but their successor states of Austria and Hungary got the blame in turn via the Treaties of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Trianon respectively

    7. I maintain the whole thing is actually Serbia’s fault for loosing control of parts of its military intelligence apparatus.

When parts of the state are allowed to go rogue and plot the assassination of a foreign imperial heir things are inevitably going to kick off.
