That’s gold medal carton balancing, this carton would be a joy to lift. Your daughter is a gentle(person) and a scholar

I’ve done this before and to be honest, it messed up the balance. The corners were so weighted it almost made me drop them. 🤣🤣

Guys. Hear me out.
I used to try and stagger and balance it.
Now I find it’s best to take from the back, keeping the weight at the front where you grab.

Smort; keeps the box balanced for people taking it out of the cupboard from one end etc.

My mom taught me to do it this way as a child. When someone else grabs the carton, it’s balanced and they won’t drop them from misjudging the weight. I still do it out of force of habit.

Or you can fill up one side and cut the carton in half
I would do that exactly the same way. Must guard against pulling out the eggs and having the whole thing flop to the floor due to imbalance. Which never happens but must be prevented nevertheless.

I do this as well. The weight needs to be distributed as symmetrically as possible.

I do this every time to keep the center of gravity of the carton the same

I do this. Or resort so they are balanced in the carton. When I took only from one side, I’ve had experiences of picking up the light end only to have an egg fall out.

I do this.
Maintains an even weight distribution.
If you left all the eggs at one end of the carton, and I picked up the carton, it would likely tip from my hand because of the uneven weight distribution
ExperienceDaveness on
That’s the best way. The weight in the carton is distributed evenly, making it easier to pick up and carry than the deprecated “working from one end” method.

When you drop half a carton because they’re all on one side you’ll start doing it too.
