Funny because that is one of the few things my very vegan friend and I can go to drink together without trouble. In Valencia, Spain, the juice from those is called Horchata, not to be mixed up with Mexican Horchata which has nothing to do with it (same of Spain’s Tortilla vs Mexican Tortilla).

Be thankful these are ground tiger nuts, and not the rarer tree tiger nuts. Conversely, ground squirrel nuts are much rarer to find in candy bars.
