Only female hornets aggressively sting. Male hornets are docile and do not even have stingers.

I thought hornets could bite too… I’ve seen videos of them munching away with their big ol’ hornet mandibles

We have a nest on our workshop. They sadly started dying this week cold I guess. Also our landlord then decided to poison them. He thought they were wasps I was quite annoyed. They can bite & will defend them selves.

    3. So there is only one question left. How to instantly differentiate between the males and the females? I just need to know immediately if I can reach out to pet them, or if I have to run away at max speed.

    4. Why is it all the female species of insects fuck with you? Female hornets are the ones that sting. Female mosquitoes are the ones that bite. Female praying mantis are the ones that chop and eat the male’s head after sex. Jesus…

Now would be the perfect time to sterilize them all and release to disrupt the next generation of hornets
