lol! I went to a Harris rally in Madison, WI last month. Excellent crowd control, several shuttle locations and multiple places where water was being handed out. I was in the first 500, so I was seated early, but every 5 minutes you’d see a group of ~30 come inside the arena, probably from one of the shuttles. Moms on the main floor dancing with their sons; dads dancing with their little girls. I was talking to a 32 y/o gay woman on my left, a ~70 couple to my right and a gay couple in front. Tony Evers, Tammy Baldwin, the mayor of Madison and a Teamsters VIP gave speeches. No anger, nothing but good vibes and smiles all around. It was an incredibly energized event.

Once heard the GOP described as the party that ‘pulls the ladder up after them’ and this story seems to realize that description; they want people there for when the want them there and either don’t have the forethought of what happens after or don’t give a toss what happens to them after.

I do not have the slightest shred of sympathy for these people. They cheer for the de-naturalization and deportation of Americans, their own neighbors, because of the color of their skin or because they don’t have an anglicized surname. They clap for stripping the human rights and dignities away from Americans, because of who that person has chosen to love, or how that person has decided to express themselves. The man they fawn over and adore is one of the most well documented self-preserving charlatans in *modern history*. It takes a *staggering* amount of cognitive dissonance to look past that.
They’re only indignant and outraged because —left in the dark and in the cold — is exactly how the “others”, the “lessers”, the “enemies” are to be treated; while they’re supposed to be inside the circle.
