The party who speaks out against celebrities in policies seem to have quite a few celebrities in politics, past and present. Republicans had Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Trump, Sonny Bono, and others that i can’t think of. Democrats? I can only think of Al Franken.

It kind of underscores the entire Christo-Fascist ideology that controls the mainstream of modern American conservative politics.
That is, our policies are to give rights to people who look/think/act/marry/pray like “us”, and anyone that doesn’t meet this profile is “rightfully” given fewer civil rights and lesser access to diminishing societal resources (i.e. loans, tax cuts, business licenses, etc.).
In short, it is the ideology of a fascist buffoon. So not the least bit shocking, but most certainly disgraceful behavior from a demonstrably disgraceful conservative lap dog.
