A clever man once said that money is the root of all evil. A wise man once said money was created by people.
Human history is just about us overcoming the ways we’ve decided to repress the other people around us

Just because one person has money, doesn’t mean they got it at the expense of others losing it. If you make money through a service or creating something new, nobody has to suffer for your gain.
You do get how that works, right?

Money can buy happiness, but it doesn’t guarantee that happiness to last.

After a certain threshold when a certain hierarchy of needs is fulfilled it won’t help once, having a smart phone is a lot better than having no smart phone but having a smart phone that’s 2 years old it’s not much worse than having the latest and greatest

Money buys happiness up to a point. After that it’s just diminishing returns.
I feel like past like a couple of millions I would run out of things to buy. Might as well donate.

Money doesnt buy happiness. It buys security. Security allows more opportunity for happiness than a lack of security. Also my labor has value, and me providing a service isnt an evil act because I want to be compensated for my time and effort.

Better feel miserable while rich, than miserable while poor and, in addition, riddled with everything that comes with being poor.
Rich, you can afford a fall, end up in a less favourable state, and still have the means of comfort and safety.
Poor, however miserable and unhappy you are, if you don’t do what it takes to earn the little money you earn, you die.

I don’t know if money can buy happiness but I definitely would be a lot happier in a mansion with a garage full of ferraris and a fridge full of food.

No I’m pretty sure if I had enough money to clear my current debts, I’d be pretty happy.

You don’t have an obligation to spread happiness at your own expense, though.

Having money doesn’t make you happy. It’s what you did with it. Think of every little thing that brings you happiness or joy. Now lean back and smile, knowing you have all the money you’ll ever need and then some to make those things happen.
