    1. During the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 East german forces were called off just hours before the start of the invasion because USSR feared more resistance if Germans invaded the country 30 years after annexation of the Sudetenland.

      Honourable mentions to Romania and Albania, neither took part in the invasion and Albania left the Warsaw pact month later.
