Truth! Every economic melt down, especially reagan (started with) the what was massive S&L failure in the 80s, was a republican mess. Subprime mortgage meltdown during GW, yeah, those guys. Took a Democrat working out a bailout, much like Carter saving Chrysler back in the day (and it worked out as those loans got paid back- better than having a bunch of unemployed people) and Obama bailed out the banks and got the loans back. That’s constantly what Democrats have to do. Republicans fuck things up and Democrats have to spend half their time fixing it. And when they finally fix the bullshit republicans left its those same republicans lining up in front of a camera to take credit for the work of Democrats. Infuriating to say the least.Â
