I for one did not know this. The size of the tape measure is on the side of the tape.

    1. Yeah, that makes inside measurements easier. Instead of bending the tape and hoping you’re on, you just but the end of the measure to the other side. Then add the width to the read.

    3. I think the vast majority of tools have uses and aspects the vast majority have no idea about.

      There is almost always a reason for absolutely everything when it comes to modern designs of ancient things, so when someone picks up a tool, and just assumes it has a notch in it, or a random mark on it, or a certain angle etc it is not just for the look, it has a function you do not understand and only when that use is explained to you do you suddenly realize ‘of course it is’ but until then, it is just random bullshit ‘no one knows why’

      I knew this. I only by tapes that are nice easy numbers like 3in maybe, and I mean maybe 2.5in
