    1. To be fair, he’s got a point. Either the law applies to everyone, or it’s just a suggestion.

If Trump can run for president, then why should other felons have their lives derailed by a few legal ‘oopsies’?

The GOP’s confusion on this one is both hilarious and incredibly convenient!

You can’t work at Wendy’s, but you *can* have control of our nuclear codes. Makes perfect sense. 😑

No I’ve seen some make it pretty high in the ranks and they actually do very well sometimes. You wouldn’t believe it when you heard some of the things they did 20 years ago but changed completely. Such as assault with deadly weapon charges etc.

“I’m sorry, based on your criminal record, the only position I can offer you is CEO.”

    5. It’s sad that they got us to accept permanent employment disadvantages attached to rehabilitation in the first place. We can be a very unjust society in a lot of ways.

Stuckey’s: Sorry. You can’t pump gas or stock shelves with your record.

Government: You want to be president??? Clearly your felony convictions are of no importance. Cmon in!

Nearly half of the people convicted of the same crimes as Donald Trump in New York state receive prison time, a new analysis finds.

Forty-two percent of people convicted of falsifying business records in New York in the last decade were sentenced to time in jail or prison, a new study from The New York Times found. In Manhattan specifically, that number is closer to one-third, the outlet’s analysis showed.

Having a felony should immediately disqualify you from being able to run for president. How can someone intrust a country to someone who doesn’t respect its laws in the first place.

The only good thing that can come from the fact that Trump is a convicted felon is this argument.

    10. Serious question. How is he able to get the security clearance necessary to be president?

I worked two jobs that required a security clearance and he would not have been able to work either cause the convictions.

    11. What’s really funny to me, is that the same people who will vote for Trump regardless of his criminal record are the exact same people that will shame and Black ball you for having a criminal record. Oh sweet irony.

Why is this a facepalm? He makes a valid point. You can’t even chaperone your kids field trip with a felony but this dude can have the most powerful job in the world.

    13. This has always only applied to middle class and lower jobs. CEOs and top executives aren’t hindered by this issue. It’s only a way to keep the class divisions. Money and power smooths every aspect of your life.

    14. Yeah, and because he was president and wasn’t meticulous with his words and the truth, I get to be like that as well, so I can just claim that all Republicans like to vote for Trump because they are criminals and want one of their own in power as fact. Because they have no morals. Facts! Don’t have to check them, former president of the USA didn’t have to, why should I then?
