    1. True about video games. They need to make history more relateable to kids. Also get outside and learn about local stuff stat kids can see and feel.

    2. Why is this so real like when I was at highschool I drew fantasy worlds imaginary maps and alternate tinelines then when I needed to study at school my brain blew up

    3. The issue is that the minute you are forced to do something on someone else’s time schedule on topics they choose with strict expectations and consequences its not going to be as leisurely or engaging, and you’re not going to change that.

      Part of why history is engaging when studied on your own is because it is self paced, self directed and there is no consequences for putting the book down to deal with life for a little while.

      i mean history in shool is specialy weird in some places…

      i did my mandatory time, done 2 apprenticeships and i think i learned about: Napoleon, WW1, WW2 and the Recession around 4 to 5 fucking times. once for every history teacher i had.
