A couple packs of beef jerky, a rain poncho, and a life straw. . . . you got this ^^

    2. We had those exact ones, with lightning almost every second, here in Greece in summer too… They seem to the new regular

More like transplants who dont know shit about florida storms. Floridian who has lived through storms my entire life checking in here. This isnt common but also not incredibly rare. Clusters of intense constant lightning activity happen all the time in severe thunderstorms, hurricane bands are just that.

    4. Not saying this isn’t a huge storm, but recency bias is likely to blame. People almost always think what is happening now is worse than before.

    5. So im watching this show called manifest and im pretty sure if you go through that storm youll travel through time

    6. No fucking shit! They have been warning that this is like the 4th largest hurricane ever recorded. What? You didn’t believe the weather people? Even the space force people sent a warning video showing just how massive this thing is.

Wdym we’ve never seen anything like that, we see that all the time. It’s the lightning capital of the world it looks like that some days when we aren’t getting a hurricane 🤷‍♂️

    8. That’s not uncommon. Every day there are “the most something ever of whatever” here in Reddit.

Where are all those people that are saying “God is giving us signs that we need to repent!”..? Not that I believe in that kind of thing, but if someone does, it should seem clear that God is telling these southern red states to change course.

Just more ‘rules for thee, not for me’ nonsense.

I grew up in Miami and lightning storms were a very common occurrence. I never saw them this close but there would be periods of 45 min where the sky was just consistently lighting up with lightning just like this!

Not saying Milton isn’t bad just saying Lightning storms were a pretty common occurrence in Miami!

As Florida gets almost literally wiped off the map, Harvard-educated DeSantis continues to actively deny that climate change is happening.

What we need to do is burn more oil and gas in power plants, and diesel pick-up trucks, then release more carbon dioxide in 2025 than we released in 2024, and keep increasing it every year.

This will make our oceans even hotter, and we might see even larger stronger hurricanes in 2026.

      No?
