Belmonte performed an exercise inside a special bubble, breathing directly from the exhaust pipe of a Hyundai Nexo. The Hyundai Nexo is capable of purifying the air by 99.9%. This means that the gas coming out of your exhaust is cleaner than the air around it.

    1. Cool, but we also have battery electric cars that don’t have any tailpipe emissions and we’re building out a robust charging network all over the world. Hydrogen is Betamax. It lost to EVs.

    2. This isn’t what it makes you think it is. The Hyundai Nexo is a hydrogen fuel cell car. The fuel cell needs clean air for the process of making electricity so any “extra” purified air is pushed out the tailpipe. Yes, it does make the air cleaner as you drive, but it is not an internal combustion engine with magic cleaning powers.

This is a hydrogen car. Before the air enters the fuel cell, it passes through several filters. First, small particulate matter is removed, and when the air enters the fuel cell, hydrogen chemically reacts with oxygen. The end result is pure water vapor.

      * For safety reasons, this experiment was not actually conducted by the athlete with air directly connected from the exhaust pipe. This is presented in this manner for dramatic effect only.

We understand that there may be some skepticism regarding the authenticity of our claims, but we assure you that we have made every effort to ensure their accuracy. We appreciate your continued support for our vehicles.

    5. Way less cool then what I thought this would be based on the picture, a death trap bubbledome where you run in it while someone drives you around at highway speeds.

    6. This wouldn’t work with my car since it has no exhaust pipe. You’d just be running in a big bubble.

    7. I honestly love hydrogen but I’ve come to accept that it will only ever be viable in trains and trucks. Big stuff.

Because transport and storage is way way more risky and heavy than gas or diesel. It needs very high pressure. Not to mention it also costs a lot to produce.

      Electric cars are overhyped… 🙄

That’s why I’m going to try the same thing with my Ford F-150 XL w/ raised suspension! Wish me luck guys! 😁🤞

    9. They can make this dome as affordable housing for americans. Exhaust gas can warm you while you sleep.
