First I just saw the handset in her hand and thought “that’s way too small of a phone for 1987”, then I looked closer and noticed that what I thought was her purse was the other part of the phone.
There were actual mobile phones in 1987, like Ericsson Hotline, 30 min talktime, cost $3.000, weighed 2 pounds, real sturdy, you could club a seal with it.
