The sunk cost fallacy is so powerful. Fundamentally, this boils down to people in MAGA just not wanting to admit they were wrong even if it means doubling, and tripling, and quadrupling down on supporting people and causes that damage them more. On some level they know this is counterproductive for them but they just don’t want to admit it.

I saw in another thread that there was already 20 billion assigned for disaster relief, and that any additional funds can be worked out later?
If that’s true, then I don’t see why there is so much noise about fema other than electioneering? Can someone please help me out?
So far the damage is estimated at 210 million, it seems like there is plenty of money on hand to help with this?

The Florida MAGAts actively support politicians that are going to cut everybodies SS payments so they can cut billionaires taxes. Yet they still vote for the idiots even though it is directly against their personal financial interests.

Without the NOAA there won’t be warnings of hurricanes and so there won’t be any Democrat-caused panic which will keep people from panic-fleeing and selling which will keep Oprah from buying up more land to fill with tunnels so that she can keep smuggling ~~Cuban~~ Haitian refugees into the country.
