The idea that pumping millions of tons of carbon into the atmosphere over decades, might change weather patterns is preposterous. But the idea that the government is able to control weather on a planetary scale, something that requires almost unfathomable energy, is apparently completely reasonable.

Fine bro you wanna play this game, I spent 9 months training to be an Air Force Meteorologist where I did see this stuff happen and learned about the atmospheric dynamics that causes this.
It’s because the Gulf of Mexico is shallow depth and heats up very quickly. Because the ocean is now hot, what used to be thunderstorms that moved along the flow of lower pressure, now there turning into hurricanes.
This is possible because of the sub-tropical jet which does move storms west to east.

I read yesterday by someone who did some VERY rough estimating and figured up Helene, in terms of Watts, would have consumed almost 50% of the entire planet’s energy production for the week it existed. I didn’t notice any brown outs.
