Yeah… If you’re looking for a Caribbean counterpart to Redbeard, I’d go Drake or Morgan. Teach was just some (incredibly badass, even by pure dry history) dude with a ship and a crew.
He’s still my favorite, though. “Damnation seize my soul if I’ll give quarter, or take it!” I haven’t heard better last words anywhere. And it took a truly ridiculous number of swords and pistols to take him down. Somewhere around 25 sword wounds and three shots, I think.
