We need to be careful going forward. If we win this and get to go back toward some semblance of normal, we can’t turn to hate the way they do. The current generation does deserve to experience the consequences of their actions but they also have children who were just along for the ride. If we try to exact revenge we will be punishing those kids who had no choice and their suffering will just convince them their parents were right. We will in effect be creating the next generation. Our efforts should go toward improving life for everyone. Don’t worry or complain if the cult benefits from everyone’s lives getting better. We need to focus on bolstering education because that is the best defense against this happening again. Look to the future rather than obsessing over the past. Don’t become them.

I think it is important to care because they still live in our communities. When they try to leave the cult, it’s important that when they leave, we have communities where they can deprogram in.
You don’t have to, but some of us need to or they will just go back to their cult groups.
