They say they “allow abortion with three exceptions” which is the same as a ban on abortion because if they got away with it, they would remove the three exceptions.

The “three exceptions” are just their way of not looking like monsters in debates or on television and to avoid quite real hypothetical scenarios when an underage girl is raped by her father and is forced to carry the child to term and dies in childbirth (which in this scenario might actually be better than having to raise your father’s child born of rape).

If you are an undecided male voter, go speak with any female you know about this issue. Sister, mother, daughter, girlfriend, spouse. Any female. If you are a female undecided voter, you are sadly mistaken if you think that other rights of women won’t disappear along with reproductive rights.

    2. abortion is literally on the ballot in florida. trump switched within 24 hours from fake supporting abortion to supporting a 6 week abortion ban because of pressure from his most right-wing anti-abortion supporters.

no matter what they say, trump and vance will always do what his most fringe supporters say. trump will sign a national abortion ban if given the chance. it isn’t a hypothetical. For over 50 years abortion was a constitutional right in the united states until donald trump got elected, 13 year old rape victims are forced to birth their rapists babies.

jd vance is literally trump’s most fringe supporter, he doesn’t believe in abortion even after rape or incest, he doesn’t believe a woman should work, he believes a woman is only good for giving birth.

      >Donald Trump has said he will vote against a ballot measure in his home state of Florida that would protect abortion rights after facing backlash from conservative supporters.

      >The former president’s announcement came one day after an NBC News interview in which he appeared to support the measure – a statement that caused anti-abortion activists to openly criticise him.

      # Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance argues against need for rape and incest exceptions in abortion laws

      >J.D. Vance, the author and venture capitalist running for the GOP nomination for a Senate seat from Ohio, this week defended the Texas abortion law and **argued against the need for exceptions for rape and incest in such restrictive statutes, downplaying such circumstances as “inconvenient.”**

      >When asked during a local interview whether abortion laws should include **exceptions for rape and incest, Vance, a Republican, said he thinks “two wrong don’t make a right.”**

    3. This “doubling and tripling down” strategy MAGA’s utilized since 2016 is bonkers to me. If the point is to take and consolidate power, maybe use rhetoric that everyone agrees with? Maybe drop the extremely unpopular talking point that only an ever shrinking minority of Americans want to hear? Is there something I’m missing about past far right takeovers?

Reminder that Adam Serwer is the journalist who coined the phrase “the cruelty is the point.” Good man.

Women, just get your tubes tied. Do it before that’s banned too. These religious nuts will make rules on your reproductive rights yet again.

The rules that apply for the masses never apply for the upper class so if Vance’s wife has an abortion or a miscarriage, she definitely isn’t going to see any kind of jail and you’ll never hear about it.

    6. I still am reeling from the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe. I just don’t understand how women in America are going to vote for these two ghouls. They are grinning and smirking and patting themselves on the back for their cruelty

If he won, trump would step aside for Vance, who is owned by the heritage foundation. Leonard Leo, a radical evangelist who hates women is running this.
