Considering the definition of the word Viking (“Raider”) I have to disagree with the picture. The right one is unarmed and a Viking is per definition a raider. The right one is a Norseman who isn’t prepared enough to go Viking.

Why are we comparing someone who is ready for battle and raiding (maybe taking some artistic liberties but still good looking Viking) and someone who looks like he stays at home and looks after his fields or spends his days singing on the tavern or selling I dunno bread on the market?
