Context: Antoni Gaudí was a Barcelona-based architect known for his unique, stunning, fantastic art nouveau/baroque masterpieces including [Parc Güell](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/33/Parc_guell_-_panoramio.jpg/1280px-Parc_guell_-_panoramio.jpg) and [Sagrada Familia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagrada_Fam%C3%ADlia#/media/File%3ASagrada_Familia_8-12-21_(1).jpg). He was celebrated in his lifetime and many of his works are still major attractions in Barcelona.

But his death was odd. He had become an obsessively religious loner in his old age. He was hit by a tram one day, but he had no ID on him and was unkempt and dressed in rags. Many assumed he was a beggar and did not rush to help him. He died a few days later from his injuries.
