    1. Assassination of democratically elected governments, asymmetrical trade agreements and imposed policies. What a delightful combo!

The US’s PR (just going off opinion polling) oddly enough seems better in East Asia/Latin American than Western Europe despite how we keep screwing over East Asia/Latin America and really helped out Western Europe

Edit: Maybe it’s one of those things where Western Europe they’re pretty safe and comfy so they feel safe to resent the fat and stupid belligerent cowboys across the Atlantic Ocean, while countries flush against Russia and China still think we’re fat and stupid belligerent cowboys but like us as a counterbalance. Whereas with Latin America there are a lot of family ties from immigration that probably improve things a bit, and as much as a lot of folks there resent us for all the horrible shit we did to their countries in the 60s-90s (actually, let’s go 1890s-2000s), in countries that still have pretty underdeveloped economies or political corruption that even outstrips US corruption there might be an element for some people of “it would be nice if we can try and implement some of what they’re doing over there here”

I don’t know how widely operation Gladio is known about or how much of it is blamed on the US, but I’m sure that sponsoring bunch of terrorist attacks and far-right militias isn’t appreciated even in Italy

    4. I mean you kikda a military junta in Greece and almost overthrew the Italian government multiple times

You would be surprised how many Italians blame Washington for Aldo Moro’s death

The US just has better PR in the left category, they’re ontologically evil globalists in both

The US effectively works very similarly to the Roman Republic: allies get shanked from time to time, policies and practices from over there bleed into all of the allied nations, and there’s a notable power imbalance with it’s allies. And yet, it is _by far_ the preferable choice to be allied to them than not, especially during rough times

    7. Well it’s a mixed bag in East Asia and the Middle East. Latin America has basically never had a good experience with the US though yahhh…

This is really funny to me because despite the fact that Homelander has killed hundreds many people and is a dickhead and hates universally.

Superman in Man of Steel has killed hundreds of thousands unintentionally and destroyed the equivalent of New York or Los Angeles but is still regarded as a hero.

This is a much more true meme than you think.

    9. Not even that, here in Spain the US droped a few nukes accidentally, some nuclear waste leaked from the nukes and the US never paid the compensation.

    10. To be fare, USA was in those places because Western Europe’s crap decolonization policies.

USA in East asia had south korea and japan and taiwan and thailand and almost had south vietnam which would’ve been 100x richer and better than the current vietnam. put east asia next to western europe.

    12. That’s cool and all, but I highly doubt Western Europeans see us as “good guys,” let alone anyone else as well with all the anti-US sentiment around the globe, and a lot of Americans are waking up to the hate spewed at them from the SE and EU thankfully, so with that said…

Fuck Ukraine, fuck the South East Asian Sea, fuck NATO, and bring all the troops home. Let the world solve its own fucking problems if they hate us so much.

    13. East Asians are either our enemy or our closest allies lmao, what a part of the world to include
