That’s awesome.
My favourite memory of riding the train was when a lady got on at a station commonly known as inebriation station – it’s near all the brew pubs, and she was gooned. She started singing, and I looked over my shoulder to see what was going on. She saw me and asked if she was disturbing me.
I told her no, but that I wanted her to know that every karaoke session is supposed to start with “Country Roads”, so she started belting it out, and then another couple strangers started, and pretty quick the entire car was singing it.
We’re all strangers moving in parallel to each other, but on rare golden moments, those lines converge, and we’re a community.
