Here’s the deal and why this will keep happening.
Trump has seized on the hate messaging of various groups. He parrots those messages, but he doesn’t believe any of it, personally, so he will be never notice, (or even care about) conflicting messages.
So he spouts racist, anti-black dog-whistles. Racists think he’s one of of them.
He spouts the hate messages that tell black people that the black leaders can’t be trusted and are in it for themselves. Feeds black outrage at continued inequities. These people think he’s on their side.
Both groups show up at the rally. Violence ensues.
Trump laughs at the suckers (if he’s aware of it at all)
This is also why his own followers will target him with violence from time to time time. Nobody is more dangerous than a violent person true believer who figures out that Trump is just using the cause for personal gain.
Trump is currently in Bernie Madoff mode, trying to keep it his houses of cards from the collapsing (but he can’t event admit this to me himself)
