“Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States and Canada to fuel instability and separatism against neoliberal globalist Western hegemony, such as, for instance, provoke “Afro-American racists” to create severe backlash against the rotten political state of affairs in the current present-day system of the United States and Canada. Russia should “introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social, and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics”.

    2. Mass deportation would shrink the labor supply for building, increasing housing cost, not decreasing it.

MAGA are getting many of their ideas from Hitler’s rise to power. Yep, he got started by planning to deport immigrants to Germany. He considered Jews and Roma (gypsies) immigrants no matter how many generations they had been in Germany.

    4. Wtf will using federal lands for housing do exactly? They just want to sell of federal lands to put it in billionaires greedy hands?

    5. AppropriateSpell5405 on

I wish CBS asked if that would include legal immigrants and/or U.S. citizens.

    6. Am i the only one that does not want you federal land sold off to fix a problem with many other sane solutions. This just sounds like another Trump shoot from the hip, lets see what shit sticks to the wall idea. Like “And Mexico Pay for It”

    7. Seems like it’s just a distraction from what “make federal land available” really means.

They are going to sell land super cheap to super rich people that will make high cost housing (it’s the most profitable) which will lower the costs of higher end housing in that area due to increased supply. It will not trickle down much at all and the few hundred or even a thousand homes wouldn’t be finished for a year or two after the land is sold and absolutely wouldn’t have any sort of dramatic impact at the national level.

A few rich people will get a sweet (corrupt AF) deal, and probably kickbacks for trump. Doesn’t really do much in the way of solving the problem. That is how these people work. Nothing gets done in a way that doesn’t help them to the point that it doesn’t really do what it was originally intended for.

There are thousands of perfectly good homes left without a family because markets is saturated with ridiculous pricing from homes owned by the same banks and companies that will give you a loan to buy them.

I remember a certain mustachioed fascist fella who waged a world war over living space. Just saying.

“giving corporations opportunities to exploit federal land and kicking out brown people”

    11. You need to have your documents in order to get a home loan or transfer ownership of a house. I guarantee you that the undocumented immigrant fleeing violence in a south American country who now works as a cleaner at a hotel is not the reason you can’t buy a house.

Deporting immigrants will do nothing but gut the workforce that builds new houses.

This country already had mass deportation during Mexican Repatriation and Project Wetback. Our government didn’t care that it removed legal citizens and people who were always here. This is exactly what Trump wants again

So all the folks complaining about high food prices don’t get that deporting the people who pick our food will raise prices even higher?

    14. The illegals are so poor they need government handouts, but also rich enough to buy new homes…

    15. Blaming immigrants for every single problem is fine. Why think real solutions when we have a “final solution”

    16. Parasaurlophus on

“Changing regulations”, also known as allowing developers build shoddy, cold, damp, small, dangerous housing.

    17. Rarelydefault26 on

“People aren’t making enough babies and not enough people working!”

      “Well what if we-“

“I know the solution! Force more people out of the country! That should fix it!”

    18. Their official plan is to literally sell federal land to developers to obviously make obscene amounts of money and to deport people?? Is this real?

    19. thishurtsyoushepard on

So develop homes for rich people in national park land, and deport people and take their homes? I don’t like this 🙁

    20. Making Federal Land available to build housing on is fucking stupid. We have tons of land in this country, suitable housing just isnt being built. It’s all McMansions being built, no mid sized or smaller homes.

    21. I don’t want to trivialize the message here with this comment, but ‘Fascistic’ is a new one on me and I kinda like it

    22. With the fact that we have so many abandoned homes & buildings, but less & less green space every day, I really wish that the plan for affordable housing wasn’t just “build more”

    23. We’re at the point where both camps can just use the same advertising. One will think the other’s is insane but the supporters will love it. And vice versa

    24. The choice this year literally boils down to blame, hate, and anger or progress, rights, and empathy. The choice is crystal clear. Vote blue!

I can’t believe that Walz didn’t check Vance on the insanity of posing mass deportation as a fix for the economy. That would have been a slam dunk for him to point out how utterly stupid that concept of a plan is.

I got the sense that Walz was so surprised at the audacity of that suggestion that he assumed everyone watching must understand how batshit crazy it is.

I’ve be living in the same town just out of Houston all my life.

There was this neighborhood that we always sort of joked about being the most ghetto neighborhood in town. The one that made you feel like locking your doors driving by there. It was almost all older wood homes in pretty bad shape.

Then Hispanics started to move in, and not long after, the neighborhood became better looking because they remodeled the houses and started making them look like homes. That neighborhood is now a normal looking neighborhood.

    27. So all these illegals are buying $300,000+ houses without a SS#, valid form of ID, or even pay stub if they are working off the books for cash?! I’m not the smartest person in the world but…..

    28. FlimsyConclusion on

I don’t think illegal immigrants are swarming the housing market with competitive offers. It’s companies and elite buying up all the houses for profit.

      – Letting companies get rich and sell off parks
      – Getting rid of brown people
