Couldn’t they make something like retractable benches or seats that pop out form from the wall? You scan a valid ticket or a subscription card and a seat pops out?

As a society, we don’t like prisoners in jail, and we really don’t want to help people who are down and out. We’ll maybe help you if you aren’t quite down and out, can do some things on your own, and are presentable, but if you make us uncomfortable or scared, you will get no help from us. Hard truth, but most of you vote that way as well.

Homeless people are barred from sleeping in subway stations in NYC. If that bothers you, offer up your garden to some Homeless people 👍

The city could just put in some pipes or beams you can sit on but on lie on. The “best” of both worlds. Commuters can still sit down while waiting and no homeless people can sleep on the pipes.
