Having been to Finland I’ll say the important thing they have there is a government that looks after you. They pay a higher tax but get so much more in return. The government offers an actual safety net not just the bare minimum, it actually helps its people.
And better still, the people don’t mind paying those taxes. The Finnish are the most quiet, reserved, introverted people I’ve ever met, but they happily pay into and support their communities.
I could write an essay on their libraries too. It almost felt cruel seeing what Finland offers.
If only it wasn’t so cold and dark and the language so needlessly complex

They essentially banned alcohol (it’s freakishly expensive, almost impossible to buy outside of pubs afford 6PM).
They have low population density (just few milion people on a relatively large land).
In all discussion like these it’s hard to take one element from a country and disregard all the other factors.
