Lol that one hurricane that decided to go off-script and bump into southern Brazil

    2. could be chatting shit but i think it’s because the coriolis force gets weaker the nearer to the equator so any cyclones that form near there don’t last long enough to cross

    3. Riddle me this, why are there no storms in the south Atlantic? Im guessing the circumantarctic current doesn’t allow the ocean to heat up or something along those lines.

    4. They would have to change their rotation when crossing the equator, and the amount of paperwork required to get permission for that is insurmountable.

    5. Until now!

From the people who brought you Twisters comes Hurricane on The Equator!

Witness this mind-boggling action thriller this summer!

    6. Wonder if this is like “crossing the streams” in Ghostbusters: when one does happen to cross, it’ll be the end of the world?

    7. Honestly the thing I find interesting is that I feel like I rarely see maps that don’t have North American on the top left of the map. It was a little disorienting for a second.

Saw someone say that CERN is making Hurricane Helene to eliminate red state voters.

Yet i know that only a few people saw this map and nee about the temperature difference and why hurricanes cant cross the equator .

      Its cool tho

Why are hurricanes localized to these areas, and why aren’t they found east of Brazil and west of South Africa? or Europe? Or west of South America?

    10. Yeah because it would have to start spinning the other direction. Which means it would have to stop and regain enough energy to start spinning the opposite direction.
