FFS OP, do you not realize that Nixon getting away with it just encouraged later presidents to think they can likewise do just about anything and also get away with it? Should’ve put the bastard on trial, and if the Supreme Court dared to declare him immune, threaten their asses with even worse.

Ford’s would-be assassins appear in the 1990 musical Assassins. But that dealt with actual presidents, not with a former president who was twice impeached and had to pay hush money to a porn star.
