My mother has a full tin of cinnamon sticks circa late 1960s in her spice rack. It still has the price label on.

    1. Can one of the elder British redditors explain that price to me? Is it 3 pound, 6 shilling, 17.5 pence?

    2. Those little metal boxes are da bomb!

We still have a metal Band-Aid box we keep our dice in. Pretty sure mine is more like 1980s though.

    3. My mother had spices with no ZIP codes. Prior to 1963, big city addresses in the US had zones, a single number.

She didn’t use spices very much.
