    1. Funny thing is contemporary Japanese reactions to him were divided into two sides. One wanted him dead as taking responsibility for every Japanese death in WW2. Others wanted him alive as a scapegoat for their emperor at the trial.

      And after the suicide attempt, every Japanese showed disgust at Tojo for how a suicide of such high-rank warrior can fail at all, and he must be clinging onto his life pathetically.
