I’m not a child but I would prefer the latter.

    1. There’s several studies that show sugar is more addictive than cocaine.

Also, if they’re arguing the first cereal should be better, why is only the second box open and partially eaten.

    2. [Here’s a fantastic lecture](https://youtu.be/5QOTBreQaIk?si=1tNCGyKmJy2Cc2h-) from Dr. Chris van Tulleken, author of *Ultra-Proccessed People,* going into what this new food humans have never had before does to you.

I read that book this summer and there’s this story in it I want to share from some of the early UPF experiments:

There used to be a product called Coal Butter which is the precursor to Margarine, It was invented by the Nazis. They wanted to free themselves of relying on foreign oil, and realized they had lots of excess coal. They started making liquid fuel from coal, one of the byproducts is paraffin and they were trying to figure out what they could do with it.

They were trying to turn paraffin into soap when they realized, chemically, soap is a lot like fat so if they could make one, they could make the other. About half of their edible fat had to be imported so synthetic fat could be a big deal. They ended up making Speisefett, Coal Butter, flavored with diacetyl (popcorn flavoring, it destroys lungs and factory workers got ‘popcorn workers lung’) and tested on prisoners. It caused chronic indigestion, severe kidney problems, and de-calcification. Dogs refused to eat it.

They gave it to the soldiers eventually, specifically the U-boat crews on account of only having a life expectancy of 60 days after boarding.

Today, there is an FDA loophole for untested ingredients called the GRAS loophole, allowing food manufacturers to literally regulate themselves.

    3. I think we can make the western countries great again if we just start added small doses of cocaine back into Coca Cola.
