Reminds me of the time I caught the first Pokemon I saw after getting a master ball with it. I thought I’ll get more, thinking I never have to use those other balls again.

I’ve been playing Yellow recently and I had forgotten that there is a chance that the ball can just flat out miss the pokemon entirely until I started trying to go after Zapdos. I had its health down to just one pixel, had it sleeping, and the first Ultra Ball I threw just popped and it said I missed. Then the next twenty or so missed too. The first ball that didn’t miss (a Great Ball, oddly enough) did actually catch it, but I was really worried that I would have to reset and rethink how I would catch the thing.
