He later died at 36 years old, after having to hide out in Turkey and then getting kicked out.
Just saying.

Don’t worry, you still have plenty of time to get headshotted by your own men (most likely)

Well, he also took the best army in europe (at that time that meant the world), specifikly designed (by his father who were a much better king) to smash the oposition and win fast (as sweden could not keep up with manpower) and ground it down over several years untill it broke.

He lost in the end, and died during the The Siege of Fredriksten in Norway in 1718.
Also why the “alliance” agreed that Sweden should get bent, that was about it. They all did their own thing and there were no coalition army or even an attack on 2 fronts at the same time.

He very much did not win. His protracted military campaigns and refusal to initiate peace talks (while having an army tailor made for short campaigns) brought about the end of the Swedish Empire.

Karl was born the heir to an accomplished kingdom though. He died young and after being g defeated.
Compare him to Bernadotte. Bernadotte was the 5th kid of an unremarkable lawyer. He joined the military at 17. He worked his way up to a Marshal, became a prince and then king of his own house which still rules sweden

One issue with this , Polish king being ” puppet ” of Sweden doesn’t mean shit since in Poland King had basically no power he was elected so if he died his son didn’t have to become the king and nobility could just ignore him most of the time (this system sucked ass , but King being a puppet still means nothing)
