    1. Eagle was based in Torrington, Connecticut, and only built bicycles from 1888-1900. Their bikes ranged between $40 and $150, and when adjusted for inflation, those bikes today would cost between $1000 and $3700. Frank Weaver became one of the first cyclists to ride across the county from New Haven to San Francisco on a 48″ Eagle bicycle.
