The car probably lost control going back in front of the truck and when the driver tried to correct it they went the other way because of the ice the driver had little control.
Basically, the driver died because they were trying to save a few minutes.

Once i was in a hurry and drove verry much on the limit where i felt it’s still safe , but the idiot behind me thought it would be a good idea idea to overtake me. Long story short, his car slipped on the snowy road and crashed. Luckily no one but his ego was hurt, still had to help him and missed my appointment.
