This ain’t a 100% lie. Eggs were about $1.50/dozen during later Trump years and now is higher – averaging about $3.20 nationally.
Go figure, Trump ruined a market for farmers, paid them subsidies, and claimed cheap eggs, as a product of an oversupply of grain, was awesome.

Eggs are more expensive because they had to cull millions of chickens to stop the spread of bird flu. Less chickens to lay eggs means less supply so prices go up.

Eggs are a great one to bring up because Bird Flu is wiping out American chickens. So egg prices are way up for reasons having nothing to do with inflation but most people don’t know it is massive culling of egg laying birds so dishonest politicians can take advantage of the people not knowing.

My grandfather died of COVID and never got to meet my daughter because of it (she was very immunocompromised for the first few months). I solely blame the Trump administration for completely fumbling it, and the MAGAts for refusing to understand BASIC science.
