    1. KudosOfTheFroond on

Absolute *legend*, Prine is light-years beyond everyone. I know heaven sure got happier the day he arrived.

This time of year I love to listen to Prine’s Summer’s End and let the emotions wash over me

    3. I remember seeing him in the 80’s some time. Just looked him up and he died of Covid related complications in 2020 after surviving cancer twice in 98 and 2013.

    4. As the cafe was closing
      On a warm summer night
N’ Cathy was cleaning the spoons
The radio played the hit parade
And I hummed a long with the tune
She asked me to change the station
Said the song just drove her insane
But it weren’t just the music playing
It was me that she was trying to blame

And the sky is black and still now
Upon the hill where the angels sing
Ain’t it funny how an old broken bottle
Looks just like a diamond ring
But it’s far, far from me

    5. I’m still mad at the CMA for deliberately shunning and NOT honoring JP at their awards ni 2020 (the year he died).

IMHO: He was one of the best song writers in American history.
