The only real option is to blame it on the cousin. Tell him the cousin made up a very elaborate but terrifying story about the man, convinced her to hide from him, and allow the cousin access to her social media. Only to “find out” the cousin lied, and now their love story can continue.
Obviously the truth will not work, because the woman in question is bat-shit crazy. But the question posed was how she could get back with the man who unknowingly dodged this all-red semaphore squad of a woman.
