This just popped into my head – Is early 6th century something like the year 520 BC or 580 BC? It’s the 6th century from 0, so working in the opposite direction of AD centuries.. is the ‘early 6th century’ early in its progression away from 0 (~520 bc) or is it early in absolute time (~580 bc)?
