    1. One of the intriguing things about Kahn is that she learned early on that although she was deadly serious about her art, live audiences found her naturally funny for reasons mysterious to her. So many try to be funny and fail, and here she was eliciting laughs by some natural gift that translated spectacularly well when she began making movies.

    2. She died at 57. So tragic.

      I know she did much more, but she’ll always remind me of Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein.
