I remember that shit so vividly. I cried my eyes out because my mother worked in that area. I was in school and I kept asking if my mother is okay!? Then kids started getting pick up by their parents. I was panicking since I didn’t see anyone for me. Then my aunt comes pick me up and I’m freaking out until she tells me my mother woke up late that day. That shit stayed with my mother for a while that if she didn’t hit that snooze button……

I remember we were doing ice breaker trivia at work event and one of the questions was related to 9/11 (something like who was the mayor of NYC at the time). The one girl in our group didn’t know the answer and the rest of us were like “What?! How could you not remember that?” She said “Sorry y’all I was like in first grade when that happened!”
We were pretty subdued the rest of the game. 😕

I talked about this with my wife. Her school put on TV coverage in every room. Ours made an announcement and went along like it was a regular day.
