    1. The religious genuinely do not grasp what atheism is. They see every position on every topic as a religion in competition with their own.

And they see truth as a moral issue, hence the “X is incorrect because it leads to bad things” argument.

    2. We were convinced that the people need and require this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations; we have stamped it out.

Adolf Hitler (1942). “The Speeches of Adolf Hitler: April 1922-August 1939”

Today Christians … stand at the head of [this country]… I pledge that I never will tie myself to parties who want to destroy Christianity .. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit … We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theater, and in the press – in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past … (few) years.

Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.

Adolf Hitler (1998). “Mein Kampf”, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

The work that Christ started but could not finish, I – Adolf Hitler – will conclude.

Besides that, I believe one thing: there is a Lord God! And this Lord God creates the peoples.

I am personally convinced of the great power and deep significance of Christianity, and I won’t allow any other religion to be promoted.

Probably a religious person who thinks they get their (human) morales from their religious texts, so they wrongly see atheism as ‘not having morales’.
And so it is easy for them to shove ‘everything evil’ under the ‘caused by atheism’ mat.

Reality is every German soldier in ww2 had ‘God ist mit uns’ (god is with us) stamped on his beltbuckle.

    4. People who only know right from wrong based on somebody’s interpretation of an ancient religious text terrify me.

    5. Hitler was Catholic, although now many of that group say “He was no true Catholic.” Pope Pius XII was such a supporter that he was known as Hitler’s Pope,” and you might want to read the book with that title.

    6. Something like only 10% of wars and atrocities have been committed by religion. But atheism is the absence of a belief system, practically no wars or atrocities have been committed “in the name of” atheism. Nobody is passionate about not being a football fan.

    7. *^(what a shame, such a nice theory fails badly:)* Hitlerians were believers and carried the slogan “God with us” on their belt buckles.

    8. This person is right.

The Crusades were a peacefull pilgrimage and nobody was ever killed in the name of christianity.

    9. Ummm no. The Spanish Inquisition was an atrocity committed by the Catholic church.

Hitler used Christianity as a cover to commit mass murder.

Spain came to the new world with missionaries who would go to violence to “convert” the native populations to Christianity.

The problem is not whether you believe or not. The true problem is humans, humans who twist the true meaning to fit a narrative.

And when the same humans have twisted things to fit what they want is when things can go bad

    10. Well, when you voted for people who didn’t want history (nor Geography) taught properly in schools, you see the problem of that strategy in many ways. This is just one of them.

    11. Just the usual. Atheists are morally good or bad, just like everyone else, the difference is atheists are good because we want to be good, not because we are afraid some imaginary being is going to punish us if we aren’t. Which I argue makes us more moral than the “God will send me to hell” crowd.

    12. I mean… Technically…

Nazis stems from social darvinism. Which is a botched interpretation of darvinism. Which is one of the foundational elements of theory of Evolution. And theory of evolution is antithesis of creationism…

So in a really roundabout way atheism is related to nazism…

But with that many degrees of separation, anything is related to nazism…

    13. And this people, is how theocracies are born.
Moral superiority based on <checks notes>… god.
The same people that call theocratic countries barbaric, want their version of a theocracy to rule you.

No thank you… and pay taxes you scamming leaches!

Christianity In Practice: Burn women at the stake, conduct inquisitions, invade other countries, become the monetarily richest entity on earth, protect pedophiles. These, coupled with a disagreement with the actions of adolf hitler, are just a few of the things Christ would most likely not agree, with were he alive today. His name is taken in vain under the guise of Christianity.

“You guys have no faith and believe in nothing! You’re starting a holocaust!”

To combine those two sentiments is delusional as fuck. Schrodingers atheist, unmotived to do anything and simultaneously striving to cause as much harm as possible. Listen, if you don’t care, you aren’t going to care to enough to put forth the effort to create a hellscape.

Most wars are committed over religious beliefs. Even though god doesn’t want bloodshed.

    17. These pseudo-religious tyoe better pray that God is not real, for he will be waiting for them at the pearly-gate holding a two-by-four, ready to deliver a holy ass-whooping before sending these muthafuckers straight to Hell, for doing the work of the devil in his name.
