Rock the Vote has been around since 1990. In college, Pearl Jam gave college organizations that were dedicated to voter enrollment/turnout free tickets to the shows so that volunteers would register attendees to vote and talk about the issues. A decent number of drunk people waiting in long lines for port-a-potties will in fact fill out that form. Maybe someone I registered actually did vote against Jesse Helms.
